Suggestions Batch

2025-11-15T09:33:00 | 8 comments

- Added the ability to hide your own suggestions when browsing the list of suggestions.
- You can now delete your own suggestions, until they are accepted/rejected.
- There's now a jitter setting for the spray tool, letting you increase/decrease its radius.
- Raised pawprint description limits to 1000 characters.
- Raffles can now offer +1 entry for a pawprint drawn for the raffle creator. It must remain visible and won't count unless its accepted (if the artist has auto-confirm off), if it gets hidden/deleted the entry is removed.
- Raffles now show the creator how many entries each user has.
- Avatars now keep their source pawprint when set, and clicking on an avatar in a profile will open a window showing who made it and link to the original pawprint it came from.
- Styling update for a lot of the site, removed rounded edges where they weren't needed, made spacing a bit more consistent.

Many Changes & Fixes

2026-01-10T05:23:35 | 6 comments

Tags
- Added a new merge tags feature to tag suggestions, allowing one tag to be merged into another easily.
- Tags now have their own individual ratings (all have been set to general/sfw by default) - for tags that would be exclusively used in NSFW art (for example, "male penetrated"), this rating can be set on the tag directly. Any pawprint that's given this tag but has a rating lower than the tag's rating will automatically get a higher rating, to help stop accidents from occurring. Tags that are often used in NSFW art but COULD be used in SFW art should remain as the general rating, its only for tags that would only ever be used for that rating.

Drawing Tools
- Colour replacer now has an erase mode, to erase all of a specific colour.
- Spray tool now has an erase mode.

Pawprints
- You're now able to set the parent of a group, so if you want to make a single child pawprint the 'main' one, you can go into its settings and promote it to parent, making all the others children of it.
- Draft and Hidden pawprints have been combined into one 'Private' setting, as it makes more sense to have just one.
- When remixing a pawprint, a rating now needs to be set, just in case you forget to change it.
- You can now send anonymous pawprints to yourself and block receiving them in settings.
- Added a few more redirects so you get sent to the correct page after updating pawprints.
- Pawprints now show their current rating in the stats section.

Pawception
- You now have to claim a turn before being able to draw, to stop people sniping turns.
- Deleted pawception games now also delete the notifications for the game.

Furdle
- The correct word is shown even if you lose now.

Requests
- Request tab now shows up for yourself even if requests are closed.

Other
- Renamed 'content' to 'art' in a lot of places.
- Staff can now temporarily disable their role to test things as a regular user.
- Formatting in places like journals, profiles and requests should be fixed now.

Changes

2025-03-12T11:09:36

- The homepage now once again shows pawprints the author sent to themselves, but the limit of 2 per author shown at once is still in place. It will only show the 2 latest pawprints by any one author to encourage discovery for other artists. The homepage was intended as a place to discover new artists, so this seems like a fair compromise.

- Fixed the character colour scheme not allowing pure black #000000.

- Fixed italics tags not displaying properly.

Unconfirmed Pawprints Changes and Referrals

2025-02-04T13:58:02

Users can now set who referred them to the site in their profile settings. This can only be set once, and will disallow you from changing it if it is set.

Unconfirmed pawprints being confirmed will now send a notification to the discord, as other pawprints do.

- Sped the site up, you may notice some pages are loading a bit faster. Let me know if you see any 'Bad Gateway' errors since this change.

- Fixed recent colours not quite working correctly when drawing.

- Fixed donations, they should work again.

- Darkened the colour of Level 10 as it was a little too bright.

Search, Tagging and Profile Questions

2025-01-22T23:09:12

A lil magnifying glass icon is now in the navigation bar at the top. From here you can see every single pawprint ever made, and public user. You can also search by author name and any tags the pawprint may have.

You can now tag pawprints (with a minimum of 3 if it's NSFW). The idea is to help filter out NSFW content that's a little extreme for some people, so I'd be grateful if anyone tags their kinks (young, cub, rape, watersports etc). You're able to add to or edit the tags of any pawprint that is posted on your profile, so you're able to go through them and tag accordingly. This is not a strict 'tag everything' like e621, it's more 'tag extreme stuff so people can block it' :')

WIth that, I've also added a blocked tags setting in your profile settings. This has a handful of default ones that the 'majority' of people may not want to see, but you're welcome to remove them. If any of your pawprints have gone missing, this is probably why.

You can now have other users (either anonymously or not) ask you questions on your profile. This will create a little template with the question in the pawprint drawing canvas for you to draw a response.

A bunch of new profile settings have been added - you can now hide your followers, following, and tips (though you will still be able to get them, the list itself just won't show up to anyone). You can also disable questions and/or question notifications if you don't want to bother with that system.

I hopefully fixed the duplicate pawprint issue - there's now a cooldown of 60 seconds between saving pawprints from the same account. If you see a weird error telling you saving it failed, that's why. Wait a bit and it should work again.

Various Tag Updates

2025-09-17T21:33:03 | 2 comments

Blocked Tags: I added a new setting under the blocked tags on the user settings page. When enabled, you will see SFW pawprints with blocked tags, meaning the blocked tags will only block NSFW content.

Tag Predictions: Tags on pawprint and user settings now has a dropdown of relevant tags, to make it easier to tag the right things.

Name Colours: Starting from level 21, colours have gotten a little more interesting. Users who reach this milestone will be given some fancy gradients instead of just a solid colour!

Levels Page: You can now see the XP required and colour of all the levels here.

Boring Janitor Stuff: Made the janitor tag page a bit faster, since we have well over 22,000 tags now the page was taking far too long to load before.

Staff Updates & Other Stuff

2025-11-11T22:57:57 | 7 comments

Whew, some bigger changes here:

- All pawprints you draw are now put on your profile, even if you've sent them to someone else. You can hide them from your profile which doesn't delete them and you can return them back to your profile through the pawprint settings. This way you can always show off all art you drew and put them into collections without having to rely on the scrapbook.
- Statistics and avatar history are back, in your user profile. I've added a few extra stats too.
- You can now use NSFW pawprints as avatars, but you have to crop them in a way that isn't outwardly NSFW (a lil' nonspecific fluid is fine, but no outright genitalia or obvious sex acts).

For janitors:

- Janitors are no longer allowed to edit a user's profile that isn't their own. Honestly I kinda forgot they could do this and it should be an admin thing only. (There's only like, one active janitor that does any janitor work so this wasn't really used at all anyway).
- Janitors can now edit the tags of each entry in a pawception before the game ends, in case some tags need to be fixed.
- All staff can now delete the avatar of a user if it's a bit too NSFW and send them a message as to why it was removed.

Display Names

Join the discord here -> https://discord.gg/wpJ2qjnmJu

Usernames are no longer alterable (and all forced lowercase for consistency), and there is a new display name section in your profile settings. These allow for spaces and are what is shown to everyone, instead of your username, if you set one. Your username is still relevant (its what you log in with), but it won't change unless you specifically request me to change it, so any links aren't broken in the future.

Collections

2025-02-09T21:54:12

There is now a collections panel next to the gallery in your profile. Here you can organise pawprints on your pawprints into folders, and it still works perfectly with the latest/random/top tabs. When creating a collection, you're able to set a name, icon to use, and a parent. This basically means you can create subfolders (at most 1 level deep, so no sub-subfolders) and organise pawprints even further. If you wish to re-order them, simply drag them around by their name and it will save the new position!

You can add pawprints to a collection the same way you delete or highlight them, click on the little action menu under the pawprint image, and select 'collections'. You can add a pawprint to as many collections as you'd like.

Pagination & Various Fixes

2025-10-13T23:06:13 | 2 comments

- Added proper pagination on pawprints, scrapbook, journals, etc, instead of just the 'load more' button.

- Drawing code has been refactored to be easier to fix/work with, which caused some of the issues today.

- Fixed some pawprints from private profiles showing up where they shouldn't.

- Stopped notifications being deleted automatically, and they now properly mark as read instead.

Pawprint Rework

2025-01-27T02:21:11

So, until now, when you save a pawception drawing, it saves as its own thing. This means when you copy it to your profile later it actually has to run some code to create a 'new' pawprint and put it on your profile. Wildly inefficient and made me have to have multiple functions that do the same thing, for pawprints, pawception pawprints, and event pawprints.

What I've done today basically makes it so they're created as pawprints from the start, allowing for tags + blocking tags with relative ease. Copying to your profile now adds a little flag to the pawprint telling it to display on your profile, instead of creating a whole new one. Deleting it removes that flag, so you can re-add it later if you want. With this, paws ups and comments are now a thing in pawception games (once I add the UI for it)

If you notice anything broken let me know right away. I will be doing the same with events soon.

Requests

2025-09-10T05:01:27

- Artists can now choose to accept requests from other users, this is a toggle in your profile settings (look for 'allow requests'). If enabled, you and anyone viewing your profile will see a new Requests tab in-between the draw and scrapbook tabs.

- As a visitor, you can leave artists with requests enabled a short message (up to 300 characters), sending them a notification and putting it into an easy to view list. When done, artists can simply delete the request from the tab.

...with this, sending pawprints or comments to specifically request art when it's not related (for example, an artist making a pawprint asking for requests would be fine) is now against the rules. This is simply to stop a lot of the recent spam I've been seeing.

Manual Draft Saving

2026-02-09T21:03:00 | 3 comments

After some recent issues I've made a decision - drafts will no longer be automatically saved. Instead, much like a drawing program, there is a save and load button. The save button will flash when you're able to save (to stop people from just spam saving the same thing), and this will save a draft like before.

If you were wondering why the site was slow before, the auto saving drafts accounted for most of it as some bots/rogue individuals decided to exploit it to almost crash the entire site. This solves many issues (such as drafts not saving correctly/at the right time) and lightens the load on the site quite a bit.

Flipbooks

2025-10-07T13:31:44 | 3 comments

Ever wanted to make little animations with your pawprints? Introducing Flipbooks! This new system lets you put together draft pawprints, change the timing/speed, and create animations. You can try this out with the new flipbook button on the sidebar, below the journal button. You will need draft pawprints to use (the 'draft' checkbox in pawprint settings or when drawing something) but I may later increase this to work with any of your pawprints, I want to see if it'd cause spam.

At the start this will only allow up to 16 frames (you can use the same image more than one time, if you wanted a reverse effect) but I may increase this later if needed. Flipbooks will use all the tags combined of each pawprint used, a bit like how pawzzle tags work, and the rating will always be at minimum the highest rated pawprint used - so you can't rate it general/SFW if there's an NSFW pawprint in one of the frames.

- Added the Flipbook system.
- Added a Flipbook tab on the homepage, next to Pawprints.
- Added a Flipbook collection on profiles, to see all flipbooks created by a user.
- Allowed tag/rating editing.
- Added an 'onion skin' selector next to where the parent selector is when drawing pawprints. This will set the background of the canvas to a slightly transparent version of whichever pawprint you select, good for animating.

Other Fixes:

- Fixed default collection not loading on profiles.
- Fixed the bulk pawprint selection.
- XP calculation has been optimised a ton so it's 10 seconds faster to run.
- Text-only pawprints no longer show up on the homepage or count for XP, to stop spam.
- Added new badge conditions so I can make badges for more things.
- Fixed notifications for comments in flipbooks.
- Fixed templates not copying.

Journals!

2025-09-15T23:17:45

This is the new journal system, similar to InkBunny and FurAffinity. You can write up to 1000 characters with formatting to talk about whatever you want, with the possibility of comments/likes in the future. The updates section of the site will from this point on be my latest journal entry.

Click on the book icon on the sidebar on the left to make a journal entry, there's a pretty self-explanatory journal creation page. This will send a notification to all of your followers with a link to the journal entry, if they have 'notify for journal entries' enabled in their user profile settings. There's also a new tab on every profile with a list of journal entries and a snippet of what the journal contains.

As usual, stuff might break. Let me know if anything does ^^

Styling Updates

2025-01-29T06:33:02

Your usernames are now the colour of your profile level, instead of role. It makes things a little bit more colourful around here, I think!

Don't ask why, but I redesigned the drawing component to look a bit like the old Microsoft Paint. I think it's cute, let me know what you think :3

The profile has shifted around a bunch to fit the new drawing component, this is subject to change also - still need to consider how to make it look the best.

DMs, Tipping, Drafts and Fixes

2025-01-18T21:45:57

Direct messaging system! It's very basic, but somewhat self explanatory. You can find it next to your notifications in the top right. To start a conversation with someone, just click the message button on their profile.

You can now set a PayPal e-mail in your profile settings, which will enable other users to tip you and put their name on your profile in the brand new tips tab! You are able to select from the most common currencies to use for this.

Drawing a pawprint will now save as a local draft until it's cleared or sent. This means, if you draw something and then leave the page (either accidentally or on purpose), it will be restored when you next return. This is volatile and shouldn't be trusted in all cases, I don't know exactly when the draft will clear from your local storage by itself, but it should solve some issues with lost pawprints due to browser problems.

Fixed some issues with the tooltip from badges being cut off underneath the drawing canvas and some avatars not showing up on the homepage... god I hate CORS headers.

The message limit when sending a report has been raised from 100 to 500 characters, 'cus it was a little too short for some complex reports.

Made it so pawceptions in progress once again show up if you've already participated, but they are not clickable and appear slightly transparent. Also fixed an issue where the draft wasn't clearing after submitting a pawception drawing, as it had different code handling it.

Pawceptions also now show a preview, just like other pawprints, so you can confirm you actually want to send it. The styling has been updated too, so it looks prettier on different window sizes & mobile :3

Everyone may have been logged out as I've changed some stuff that might fix some people randomly logging out. Let me know if that's any better now!

Fixed a bug (hopefully) where the last user's avatar you looked at will show up in the avatar editor if you didn't already have one.
