Homepage Changes

2025-09-17T09:09:55

I noticed some users/potential users were uncomfortable about being so public on the site. Now, to show up on the latest users section of the homepage, you need to have drawn at least one pawprint. This should make things more comfortable for lurkers. Latest characters on the homepage are also limited to one (the latest) per user, to show more variety to people that may be looking at the site. I've also removed the last event winners section for now, as it's mostly just been clogging up the homepage and can be seen on the event's page.

Rule Changes

2025-09-16T14:37:42 | 8 comments

Some recent content is no longer exactly just on the fence in UK law. Regardless of the site's location, I as the owner have to follow these to ensure the site's stability, and that means I'm going to have to start disallowing certain types of content. I would like to reiterate this is a furry site first and foremost, as such this rule has been added: Coroners and Justice Act of April 2009 (c. 2), you may not upload content depicting minors in sexual situations where the minor represents a human child under the age of 18. Sexual situations include nudity, fetishes that may not feature nudity but are created to fulfil fantasies (for example but not limited to: vore, inflation, pregnancy), and explicit sex. This includes photography, drawings, stories, audio or any other medium of content. This rule applies to human characters. The rule for NSFW tagging has expanded to also include anything that's an obvious fetish/kink (sorry underwear guys). Any content following short of this new rule change has been set to hidden and returned to the original artist to allow artists time to edit them and remove any.. humanity? (if you desire to do so). Any new posted content that breaks this rule will be deleted in the future. Apologies for the inconvenience, this isn't a personal thing, I would just rather stay on the right side of the law to ensure this site isn't taken down or I get fined for something. There's a reason why InkBunny doesn't allow humans, but I'm trying to keep it as censorship-free as I am legally allowed.

Journals!

2025-09-15T23:17:45

This is the new journal system, similar to InkBunny and FurAffinity. You can write up to 1000 characters with formatting to talk about whatever you want, with the possibility of comments/likes in the future. The updates section of the site will from this point on be my latest journal entry. Click on the book icon on the sidebar on the left to make a journal entry, there's a pretty self-explanatory journal creation page. This will send a notification to all of your followers with a link to the journal entry, if they have 'notify for journal entries' enabled in their user profile settings. There's also a new tab on every profile with a list of journal entries and a snippet of what the journal contains.
As usual, stuff might break. Let me know if anything does ^^

Various Fixes

2025-09-13T16:31:53

- You can now set a pawprint to be hidden, meaning only you will see it. If you want to tidy up your gallery or hide some pawprints you don't particularly want shown on your profile, you can now do so! - Re-added counts for likes, marks and comments on pawprints. - You can no longer send pawprints to a user if it contains any of their blocked tags. - The blocked tags section of the user settings page has been updated to match how the tags in pawprint settings works. - Fixed the confirmation status of pawprints sent from one user to another. - You can now confirm/reject pawprints from the main pawprint page itself, instead of having to go to your profile. - Comments are now limited to 500 characters max to stop any potential lag. - Fixed the styling of template cards in the search page, they should look more like the pawprint cards. - Templates no longer show on the pawprint section of the homepage, only the templates section.

Templates Beta

2025-09-13T03:10:42

- New templates system. In a pawprints settings, you can set it to be a template. Anyone will then be allowed to copy it! This is a beta, some stuff might not work just yet. Remember, if you set a pawprint to be a template, whenever someone makes something with it, you will not be the artist. Only do this to pawprints you really don't mind giving away the rights to. - The homepage now has a templates section underneath the pawprints to show the latest templates for people to play with. - Profile pages have a new templates tab next to the scrapbook. - You can search specifically for templates now.

User Settings & Search

2025-09-12T12:11:04

- User settings are now on their own page exactly like the new pawprint settings. - Searching for pawprints no longer takes username/display name into account so someone with 'fox' in their name won't be first for any fox related pawprint searches. - Fixed some styling issues with the 'load more pawprints' buttons on profile pages.

Pawprint Settings

2025-09-12T03:18:07

- Pawprints now have their own settings page. With this, you can now set a name/title and description for any of your pawprints which will show up on their pages. Rating, tags, parent, collections, etc are now all located on this settings page. - You can now zoom in/out when cropping for avatars, to make it easier to get the right look! - Fixed the ability to copy/paste on some mobile devices. - You can now disable comments on any specific pawprint if you desire to do so, in the pawprint settings. - Reworked how some buttons look, this isn't final and may be changed later.

Requests

2025-09-10T05:01:27

- Artists can now choose to accept requests from other users, this is a toggle in your profile settings (look for 'allow requests'). If enabled, you and anyone viewing your profile will see a new Requests tab in-between the draw and scrapbook tabs. - As a visitor, you can leave artists with requests enabled a short message (up to 300 characters), sending them a notification and putting it into an easy to view list. When done, artists can simply delete the request from the tab. ...with this, sending pawprints or comments to specifically request art when it's not related (for example, an artist making a pawprint asking for requests would be fine) is now against the rules. This is simply to stop a lot of the recent spam I've been seeing.

Pawprint Refactor

2025-09-09T16:09:34

- Removed the feed entirely, it was slowing the site down and not entirely needed. - Optimised profile and scrapbook pawprints to speed up page loading, there's now a 'show more' button instead of all being loaded at once. - The way pawprints are viewed have changed, they now have their own page similar to e621 and FurAffinity, with a .png download button on each. - Pawprint authors are now able to set a parent on pawprints, so alts/variants are shown alongside the 'main' pawprint and don't spam. To do this, pick which one you want to be shown as the main pawprint (ideally a SFW one), find its ID in the URL (it'll be a short number, for example 4868), and use the 'set parent' button in every alts settings to set the parent to that number. These ones won't show up in profiles or the homepage, but you can see all of them from the main one along with a handy visible number of alts. You can do this even if the pawprint is on someone else's page, as long as you are the artist. I have organised some already into parent/child relationships on my profile, so you can see how it works. - Added 'notes' section to the user settings. This will display above the pawprint drawing on your profile, and you can use it to let people know stuff you like and dislike. You can see this in action on my profile! - (potentially) fixed an issue with anonymous pawprints not being able to be confirmed if auto-confirm is set to off. - Fixed issues with deleting accounts causing errors.

Comments, levels and fixes

2025-09-05T03:30:06

- You can now hide/unhide your own comments. This can be used to 'delete' your own comments. I've also adjusted the styling so longer reply chains look better. - Added more level colours (up to level 50!) - Fixed an issue where empty tags would show up on character pages - Fixed an issue where empty tags would show up on pawprints - Fixed profile settings showing the wrong referrer based on which profile you're looking at

Account deletion!

2025-09-04T15:02:29

Took a while to make sure it didn't do anything that broke the site (and it still might, let me know if anything breaks that I haven't seen) - but you are now able to delete your account in profile settings. It should work as follows: - Any pawprints you drew for someone else will now be anonymous. By sending it to them they are the effective owners of the pawprint, you can ask them to delete them before you delete your account if that's what you prefer. - Any pawprints others drew for you will be sent back to the author's account. - Any pawprints you drew for yourself will be deleted outright. - Any turns taken in pawception games will be hidden from public view, to not break the overall game. - Guides, comments, collections, event entries and all forms of likes and favourites from you will be deleted. I can not undo this once it is done, so make sure you actually want it deleted!

Changes / Fixes

2025-04-01T07:47:08

- You can now 'mute' users on their profile. This will hide all pawprints by them from the homepage and search, but still show them on their own profile and in pawceptions. It's a lighter form of blocking in case you don't want to completely erase someone's existence but you don't want to see their pawprints on the homepage. - Along with this, I've removed the 2-per-author cap on the homepage. If you don't want to see someone's pawprints, you can mute them instead. - Added an 'unconfirmed' permanent collection to your own profiles, to easily see any pawprints that need personal confirmation. - Fixed an issue with collections showing edit and delete buttons for ones that should not be able to be edited.

Changes

- The homepage now once again shows pawprints the author sent to themselves, but the limit of 2 per author shown at once is still in place. It will only show the 2 latest pawprints by any one author to encourage discovery for other artists. The homepage was intended as a place to discover new artists, so this seems like a fair compromise. - Fixed the character colour scheme not allowing pure black #000000. - Fixed italics tags not displaying properly.

Homepage and Pawception

2025-03-11T18:18:58

The homepage now only shows pawprints sent to others, to avoid spam. All pawprints can be found on the search page if you still wish to see every one, or through random/top tabs. A limit of 2 per author shown at one time is also in place, so one person can't flood the homepage by spamming pawprints. This way you see more from a variety of artists. Pawceptions have also been changed to only allow entries after 2 turns have taken place, instead of every other turn. You can still submit multiple times to the same Pawception, it just takes an extra turn inbetween to encourage more users to participate instead of just 2.

Crackdown on Derailing

2025-03-08T14:06:57

Today, almost every pawception game had been derailed by a select few users, almost all of them to do with cookies of some kind (cookie run kingdom?), I'd like to reiterate that it is against the rules to derail games to try to get art of some obscure thing you want. Your submission to a pawception game MUST be related to the turn you're responding to. I will be deleting turns that derail from now on, and issuing warnings and potentially pawception bans for repeat offenders.

Warnings & Return To Sender

2025-03-08T13:18:56

Janitors, mods and admins now have the ability to warn users for rule breaks (they should've had this ages ago tbh). If you receive a warning, it doesn't mean you're gonna be banned, you just won't be able to use the site until you acknowledge it. Deleting a pawprint made by someone else will first send it back to the author instead of outright deleting it, if the author then deletes it themselves it will be deleted for real.

More Pawception Changes

2025-03-07T19:53:26

I'd like to remind everyone that inserting your own OCs or your friends' OCs into Pawception games is not permitted. If the previous turn directly involves your OC, continuing that context is fine. However, adding your own or a friend's OC to a drawing or prompt when it is not relevant is not allowed. Please refrain from doing so. Additionally, I've made several backend improvements to Pawception. While these changes should enhance stability, there is a possibility of unintended issues. If you encounter any bugs, please let me know. I've also increased the maximum number of turns to 24 to allow for greater participation and longer games.
